The jury of the Avignon wine competition has awarded numerous medals to both organic and conventional wines.
The 350 or so members of the jury of the Avignon wine competition, which took place on Saturday, March 9 at the Châteaublanc exhibition center, had to taste nearly 900 samples from the Rhône Valley, Provence and part of Languedoc. .

In the end, they awarded 283 medals: 25 in bio (11 gold, 10 silver and 4 bronze) and 258 in conventional (97 gold, 109 silver and 52 bronze).
Sommelier Trophies at the Avignon Fair
Note that for the first time this year, the gold medal winning wines will be tasted a second time by a jury of sommeliers who will award special mentions. The list of these "Sommelier Trophies" will be unveiled at the next Avignon Fair taking place from April 12th to 15th.
